The Manager of Business Development will focus on growing the Engineered Valve product grouping within the WTP & WWTP market segment by identifying and pursuing profitable business relationships, developing leads, and assisting technical staff with proposal preparations.ResponsibilitiesDevelops training support centered around the specific product group for our Pre-Bid and Estimating support teams for treatment plant projectsMeets with regional sales and regional leadership regularly to establish and implement improvements and best practicesDetermine market opportunities for new products and services and proper alignment across the territories with the different brands of valves and said repsDevelops market strategies and sales goals for vendor partners within the different pockets of our marketProvide direction and guidance for new product line viability. Ensure timely introduction and maturation of product offeringsPartner and assist in the development of pricing strategies for each new product line addProvide project management support or oversight where necessarySkills7+ years experience in direct management of estimating managers5+ years experience with direct management responsibilities overseeing multiple states and multiple estimating and pre-bid teamsGenerally, 7+ years of experience in a related fieldSolutions require analysis and investigationAchieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experienceMay recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavorsManages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staffLocated in a comfortable indoor areaAny unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionableTypically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the timeMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move aboutOn rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articlesCompany OverviewCore & Main is a specialized distributor that provides water, storm drainage, and fire protection products and solutions.
