[Remote] Metrics Analyst

The Metrics Analyst will provide specialized expertise in support of the FAA Office of Performance Analysis, focusing on developing metrics and dashboards to enhance the operation and modernization of the National Airspace System. Responsibilities include reviewing aviation data, developing documentation, and preparing presentations for FAA leadership.ResponsibilitiesReview and develop metrics related to the operation and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS)Work with large aviation data sets and implement error checking, data quality assessments, queriesSupport the development of new metrics and dashboardsDevelop written documentation and user guides for Air Traffic Organization (ATO) metrics dashboardsUpload documentation to the team Confluence page for collaborationPrepare information, presentations, and written reports for internal FAA leadership and industry groups as neededSkillsRequires a BA degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience or if no degree, additional related work experience can be substitutedProficiency with Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated experience in interfacing with a database using SQL or PL/SQLProficiency with standard Microsoft analytical software such as Excel or AccessAbility to assess and verify operational data and communicate analytical resultsGood oral and written communications skills, including experience in writing documentation for SQL queriesOracle or PostgreSQL database experienceExperience with version control using GitExperience with the Atlassian product suite or other similar project management and collaboration toolsFamiliarity with data visualization software such as TableauExperience in programming languages such as R or PythonWork or academic experience in aviationExperience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat ProAbility to master use of other software packagesBenefitsEmployment benefits include competitive compensation, Health and Wellness programs, Income Protection, Paid Leave and Retirement.Company OverviewLeidos is a Fortune 500® innovation company working to solve the world’s toughest challenges in government, intelligence, defence, aviation, border protection and health markets.
