Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Coder to join our remote team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing for flexible working hours and the ability to work from anywhere in the UK. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical coding knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Accurately code medical records according to established coding guidelines (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
• Meet daily/weekly coding targets
• Stay current with changes in coding guidelines and regulations
• Work effectively and collaboratively with remote team members
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Required Skills
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
• Experience with specific EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
• Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement processes
• Experience working in a remote environment
