[Remote] Mechanical HVAC Engineer- Life Sciences

Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, and they are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their Life Sciences business. The role involves providing HVAC design leadership, preparing construction drawings, and assessing existing equipment for HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems in life science manufacturing plants and laboratories.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical design packages within defined schedule and budget requirementsExecutes facility mechanical engineering HVAC designs according to IAW applicable codes and standardsAbility to meet with clients, present for HVAC on progress of work, design options and 3D model reviewsPerforms facility system assessment field workGenerates workload plans, design analyses, drawing plans, specifications, HVAC load/ventilation calculations, pump calculationsSupports proposals generation (FEL1 thru 3, Detailed Design)Significant CAD work with AutoCAD and RevitReviews work of and provides guidance to junior engineersReview equipment and material submittals for adequacy and compliance with contractual documentsPerforms site visits when required and assists with construction RFI’s after document issuance for constructionSkillsBS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school5-10 years of facility HVAC design experienceAble to generate own drawing packages with AutoCAD and RevitKnowledgeable with Codes and industry standards (ex.
