[Remote] Mechanical Engineer | $80/hr Remote
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking an Engineering Expert with a strong academic background. The role involves designing original engineering problems, evaluating AI-generated solutions, and maintaining high standards of technical rigor and clarity.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design original, advanced engineering problems that require multi-step reasoning, analytical depth, and cross-domain integration
ā¢ Evaluate AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to physical and practical constraints
ā¢ Identify modeling errors, incorrect assumptions, logical gaps, or computational inaccuracies in AI outputs
ā¢ Produce clear, complete, and well-documented solutions and derivations using LaTeX formatting
ā¢ Maintain high standards of technical rigor, precision, and conceptual clarity across all problem sets
Skills
ā¢ Strong experience in engineering supported by a PhD, Master's degree, or advanced competitive/olympiad-level background
ā¢ Background in mechanical, electrical, civil, aerospace, chemical engineering, or closely related fields
ā¢ Experience designing, solving, or evaluating complex analytical or design-focused engineering problems
ā¢ Proficiency in writing and formatting technical content using LaTeX
ā¢ Strong intuition for engineering problem structure, difficulty calibration, and real-world system modeling
ā¢ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to verify internal consistency and correctness
ā¢ Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
