This role involves end-to-end engineering support from concept development through fabrication and testing.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components and valve systems for nuclear applicationsCreate engineering specifications, drawings, and technical documentationSupport procurement, fabrication, installation, and testing activitiesPerform engineering calculations, modeling, and design validationLead or support technical design reviews and presentationsCollaborate with vendors, suppliers, project managers, and cross-functional engineering teamsEnsure compliance with ASME codes, regulatory requirements, and internal standardsProvide technical leadership and mentorship within project teamsSupport troubleshooting, design improvements, and risk assessmentsSkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)5+ years of experience in energy (nuclear preferred) or complex mechanical systems2+ years working with customers, regulators, or suppliersStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering documentationExperience with ASME codes and industry standardsNuclear industry experience (BWR/PWR systems preferred)ASME Section III valve design experienceKnowledge of fabrication processes (machining, welding, EDM)Experience with GD&T and mechanical tolerancingProficiency in Autodesk Inventor and ANSYS FEAFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principlesStrong communication and leadership skillsBenefitsDental insuranceHealth insuranceCompany OverviewNow Morson Edge.
