As a Marketplace Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of auction listings by communicating with sellers, creating engaging content, and managing photo submissions, all while meeting daily business goals.ResponsibilitiesWriting unique auction descriptions that accurately describe our listingsServe as the primary point of contact for sellers throughout the listing processCollect and verify detailed information about vehicles, including specifications, service history, and ownership backgroundCreate well-organized, engaging, and informative auction listingsCoordinate and organize vehicle photo submissions; ensure photo sets are complete, high-quality, and follow brand guidelinesProven ability to relay the importance of professional photography to sellers to bring the best listings to marketAssist sellers with guidance on how to photograph and present their vehicles effectivelyProvide sellers with critical feedback about how they can improve their listingCollaborate with the team to ensure listings are launched on schedule and meet quality standardsMaintain accurate records and track progress of each listing through internal systemsThis role is responsible for hitting day-to-day business goals that contribute to our company targetsCoordination with sellers you are working with as well as the creation of listingsSkillsStrong online auction experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience in content creation, copywriting, or editorial work is a plusFamiliarity with photography basics and visual presentation best practicesKnowledge of or passion for classic/collector cars is strongly preferredComfortable with image file handling, resizing, cropping, basic editingAbility to manage multiple listings at various stages with minimal oversightAbility to edit and fact check listingsProven ability to navigate day-to-day problems with minimal oversightProven ability to create 4+ listings per day, with little dependence from team membersBroad knowledge of online auctions and the collector car market as a wholeCompany OverviewWe're Hagerty, and we help enthusiast drivers insure, buy/sell and enjoy their rides. #NeverStopDriving It was founded in 1983, and is headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
