They are seeking a Market Data Manager to lead the collection, validation, analysis, and interpretation of financial market data across multiple asset classes, ensuring data accuracy and establishing best practices for data governance and operational processes.ResponsibilitiesLead the collection, evaluation, and management of market data across multiple asset classes, including futures, futures options, equities, equity/index options, foreign exchange (FX), market statistics, spreads, and strategy spreadsDirect data exploration, statistical analysis, modeling, and trend analysis efforts to identify insights, anomalies, and business opportunitiesOversee the analysis of structured and unstructured market data and ensure methodologies remain accurate and effectiveEstablish and maintain procedures that ensure data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and consistencyDevelop and oversee quality assurance processes that validate data inputs, mappings, and outputsManage proprietary cross-referencing and classification of market assetsLead efforts to investigate and resolve market data issues, discrepancies, and reported errorsGuide the development of dashboards, reports, documentation, and stakeholder communications that support analytical findingsEstablish standards and best practices for market data capture, structuring, governance, and usagePartner with Development, Operations, Risk, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, workflows, and operational processesIdentify and prioritize enhancements to data models, analytics tools, reporting frameworks, and data management capabilitiesLead, mentor, and develop team members while evaluating performance, addressing skill gaps, and supporting career growthSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, including: Futures and futures options, Equities and equity/index options, Foreign exchange (FX) markets, Market statistics and pricing data, Spreads and strategy spreadsFamiliarity with market data vendors, exchanges, and market data distribution modelsKnowledge of industry market data standards and conventionsExperience applying statistical analysis, modeling, and trend analysis techniques to large and complex datasetsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to establish processes, controls, and governance standards while exercising sound judgmentProficiency with SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, and analytics platformsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesExperience leading teams through a balance of coaching, mentoring, guidance, and accountabilityExperience working within financial services, trading, investment management, exchange data, or market data environmentsFamiliarity with downstream uses of market data including valuation, risk management, analytics, and regulatory reportingExperience developing data governance programs, standardized metrics, and analytics frameworksExperience leading high-performing analytics or market data teamsBenefitsCompetitive SalaryUnlimited PTOFlexible working hoursRemote work model (position dependent)Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans6% 401K matchingUnlimited access to 13k+ courses via learning platform to support employee career advancementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Company OverviewDTN is a global data and technology company helping operational leaders in energy, agriculture, and weather-driven industries make faster, smarter decisions.
