[Remote] Manual Quality Assurance Engineer, Web Core Product

They are seeking a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality of their Web applications through detailed testing, collaboration with teams, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases for the Speechify Web app, ensuring strong functional coverage across core user flows and edge cases
ā¢ Perform hands-on manual testing across browsers and devices to validate new features, bug fixes, and releases
ā¢ Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to identify, reproduce, isolate, and document defects, providing clear steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence
ā¢ Maintain clear and organized QA documentation, including test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries
ā¢ Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to ensure issues are triaged correctly and prioritized based on user impact
ā¢ Participate in Agile workflows including daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring QA is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
ā¢ Execute regression testing and release validation to ensure product quality and stability prior to launch
ā¢ Continuously identify ways to improve manual QA processes, test coverage, and communication between teams
Skills
ā¢ B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, with a strong focus on Web applications
ā¢ Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and bug reporting
ā¢ Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating cross functionally with engineering and product teams
ā¢ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to isolate root causes and communicate issues clearly
ā¢ Strong written communication skills, especially when documenting defects and test results
ā¢ Familiarity with tools like Jira, Linear, or similar bug tracking/project management systems
ā¢ Experience using browser developer tools to assist with debugging and issue reproduction
ā¢ Experience with accessibility testing and familiarity with WCAG guidelines
ā¢ Familiarity with text-to-speech technologies or audio-based products
ā¢ Exposure to test automation tools (even if not responsible for building automation)
ā¢ Experience validating APIs using tools like Postman
