They are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Software Engineering to lead the Tools & Frameworks team, manage and scale teams focused on core services, and drive architectural excellence while ensuring operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesManage, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers (up to Staff level) to deliver high-quality software solutionsBuild a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and excellenceConduct regular performance evaluations, provide actionable feedback, and foster career growth opportunities for team membersDefine the teamβs vision and roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and prioritiesPartner with product managers and stakeholders to clarify business requirements and translate them into actionable engineering projects. Ensure the execution of major upcoming initiatives, including: Building and maintaining a FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) translation layer. Decomposing our mono-repository, advancing data federation, and establishing domain event-streaming where necessaryBalance short-term deliverables with long-term scalability to ensure sustainable growthWork with Principal Engineers to develop scalable and reliable software solutionsProactively identify and mitigate technical risks, addressing software architecture deficiencies and long-term risksEstablish and maintain best practices for development, testing, and operational workflowsPartner with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering leaders to ensure alignment across teams and domainsInfluence overlapping business/technology areas to reduce inefficiencies and improve delivery speedAct as the primary representative of your teams to senior leadership, customers, and stakeholdersSkills7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years managing teamsDeep understanding of software architecture, APIs, and scalable systems.
