[Remote] Manager, Shared Services — Cloud Engineering - FedRAMP

They are looking for an engineering manager to lead the Shared Services team within Cloud Engineering, responsible for the team’s people, delivery, and technical direction, including the application infrastructure across Azure and AWS.ResponsibilitiesManage a team of Engineers: conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring, and career development in a distributed remote friendly environmentOwn the technical roadmap for shared cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS, balancing reliability work against longer-term platform improvementsSet and enforce standards for infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes), documentation, and operational readinessMake technical decisions and trade-offs for application-layer infrastructure including Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Redis, and serve as the escalation point for the teamRun sprint planning, manage cross-team dependencies, and keep delivery on trackLead post-incident reviews and ensure follow-up items get resolvedWork with Security and Compliance to keep FedRAMP and SOC 2 controls currentBe the main engineering contact and collaborate with Development, Product, and Security teams, turning their requirements into platform prioritiesRepresent the team in architecture reviews and planning discussions with leadershipUse and promote the use of AI-assisted tooling including LLM-based automation and AI-driven observability for use in engineering workflowsSkills8+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering, with at least 3 years managing engineers directlyHands-on background with Azure and/or AWS — Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud security fundamentals (PIM, RBAC, and JIT privilege elevation among others)Experience implementing and running critical production level SaaS products with high availability requirements with a focus on some combination of Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Redis among othersExperience in or adjacent to FedRAMP-authorized environmentsComfortable explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and experience with Azure DevOpsExcellent written and verbal communication with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with advanced RabbitMQ configurations: clustering, federation, and message persistenceExperience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps) and infrastructure module deployment workflowsBackground in cloud cost management: rightsizing and managing capacityExposure to SOC 2, FedRamp, or PCI compliance controlsBenefitsCompetitive salariesA meaningful bonus programExcellent benefits, including healthcare insurancePension/retirement matchingComprehensive life insuranceAn employee assistance programTime off plansPaid company holidaysCompany OverviewDelinea is a provider of privileged access management (PAM) solutions for seamless security It was founded in 2021, and is headquartered in Redwood City, California, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
