[Remote] Manager, Revenue Accounting

The Manager of Revenue Accounting will oversee revenue recognition processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate with various teams to optimize financial operations.ResponsibilitiesReview customer contracts and order forms to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606Partner with Deal Desk and Legal to evaluate non-standard terms and assess accounting impacts before deals are finalizedMaintain and update revenue recognition policies; ensure consistent application across products and pricing modelsPerform technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos to support conclusions for complex arrangementsOversee monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysesCollaborate with Finance Operations and Billing teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely, accurate invoicing and reportingAssist in implementing process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to scale revenue accounting operationsSupport the Deal Desk process by providing revenue accounting guidance during contract structuringWork closely with FP&A on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for revenuePartner with Revenue/Sales Operations to optimize ERP and revenue sub-ledger integrationsSupport external financial audits by preparing PBC schedules and responding to auditor inquiriesAssist with IPO readiness activities, including revenue policy refinement, process documentation, and control enhancementsSkills5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a revenue recognition or technical accounting roleBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferredIn-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and related technical guidanceExperience supporting external financial audits and building SOX-compliant processesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detailExceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills - proven ability to partner in a cross-functional deal deskComfortable in a fast-paced, scaling private company environmentExperience in SaaS, software, and/or healthcare tech strongly preferredHands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce and revenue automation toolsBenefitsOffers EquityCompany OverviewCommure is an AI-based company that specializes in health care.
