They are seeking a Manager of Quality Engineering to lead Quality Assurance/Testing efforts, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products and services. This role involves collaborating with various teams, implementing processes for efficient delivery, and managing continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesLead Quality Assurance/Testing for a defined area of responsibility to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specificationInteract with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet requirements and quality standardsImplement processes that enable efficient delivery and maintenanceBalance deployment of resources within group as necessary to support prioritiesIdentify opportunities for automation or other utilities and work within the framework of the QA/Test team to fulfill these needsImplement and cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reportingManage continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practicesIdentify areas for cooperation and, with peers or others, implement initiatives improving overall capability and efficiencyLead or participate in initiatives to identify and implement tools and utilities that enhance testing capabilities and product qualityWork with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to plan and execute automated and performance testsEnsure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholdersWork with architects, developers, and network and system engineers to research and identify root causes of performance issuesServe as subject matter expert in the configuration, maintenance, and/or administration of testing tools or environmentsSuggest process improvements that enable efficient delivery and maintenance with consistent directionMaintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the businessReport issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordinglyMaintain awareness of the state of the industry and evaluate emerging trends/developments that may benefit the organizationConduct project reviews, ensuring review criteria are defined, and implement procedures for ensuring quality control of project deliverablesCarry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable lawsResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problemsEnsure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possibleEnsure all staff is provided with frequent feedback and coaching in order to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals consistentlyManage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovationsEmpower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisionsPerform other duties as neededSkillsBachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field required5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required5 years of experience: in test strategy and test management including test planning, test case design, test lifecycle management, defect tracking, traceability matrices, release gating, and quality metrics/reporting using Xray, JIRA, Confluence, Version 1, HP ALM; building test automation and framework design, including development and maintenance of reusable automated test frameworks for web, mobile and API testing using C#/Java and integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines using industry standard tool like Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, RestAssured, RestSharp, Groovy, PostMan Cucumber; CI: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI; performance, scalability and reliability testing, including planning and executing load/stress tests, capacity planning, bottleneck identification and root-cause analysis in collaboration with architects and engineers using industry standard tools like JMeter, LoadRunner and building performance dashboard using AWS Grafana and OpenSearch; maintaining, administering and automating test environments and infrastructure to support scalable, repeatable testing and rapid delivery; and scripting, tooling and quality engineering leadership, including development of automation utilities and test tooling, API and security testing, process improvement and mentoring/hiring/training QA staff while driving cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement using Groovy/Python, Postman/SOAPUI, Agile/SAFe, Dual ScrumBenefitsStandard company benefitsCountry specific benefitsWe are committed to providing a fair and accessible hiring process.
