[Remote] Manager, Payer Analytics & Operations

The Manager of Payer Analytics & Operations will be responsible for generating insights to optimize payer strategies and improve patient access to therapies, collaborating with various teams to enhance reporting and decision-making processes.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze payer coverage, reimbursement, and policy dynamics across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channelsAssess access barriers (e.g., prior authorizations, step edits, denials) and quantify impact to patient accessGenerate insights from claims, hub, and patient services data to identify trends in utilization and adherenceMonitor and report on key performance indicators such as time-to-fill, approval rates, and therapy persistenceDevelop and deliver recurring insights to inform Patient Access strategy and leadership decision-makingTranslate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional stakeholdersIdentify risks and opportunities related to payer performance and patient accessOwn and evolve dashboards supporting payer performance, field reimbursement, and patient accessPartner with IT and data engineering teams to enhance reporting capabilities, automation, and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across systemsServe as the primary point of contact for external data vendors (e.g., claims aggregators, data providers)Support payer contracting strategy through data-driven insights and scenario analysesEvaluate impact of payer agreements on access, utilization, and financial performancePartner with Pricing & Contracting to inform decision-making for both in-line and pipeline productsContribute to business planning cycles, including quarterly reviews and long-range planning and act as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional stakeholdersLead multiple analytical projects by implementing solutions, ensuring progress per timelines and scope, and coordinating readout of resultsDemonstrate strong biopharma understanding and business intelligence to present data to get a clear understanding of our current performance and trends across multiple perspectivesDemonstrate attention to detail, validating and verifying data for accuracy and completeness prior to publishing materials to business stakeholders. Communicate and work with team members to mitigate data variances or challenges should they occurEnsure all reporting and analytics activities are conducted in accordance with ethical compliance guidelinesSkillsBachelor's degree required5+ years of relevant work experience in an analyst capacity in the pharmaceutical industryExpertise in analytics, particularly in technical data curation, integration across multiple data sets, data structuring, and data manipulation skillsStrong understanding of pharmaceutical data with demonstrated experience in specialty pharmacy, hub, claims, and industry data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony)Expert level user and modeler within MS Excel applicationExcellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated abilities to think creatively and strategically to solve and answer key business questions/problemsExcellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a professional demeanor, with the ability to interact with all levels of management, colleagues within other departments and vendorsExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at a management level and the capability to dive into details when neededStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritizeAbility to travel 10% to 20% domestic and internationallyAll positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San DiegoMasters / MBA preferredAlteryx and/or SAS/Power BI experience a plusStrong PowerPoint and presentation skills preferredBenefitsPremium health, financial, work-life and well-being offerings for eligible employees and dependentsWellness and employee support programsLife insuranceDisabilityRetirement plans with employer matchGenerous paid time offCombination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock)Company OverviewTravere discovers and develops drugs for the treatment of catastrophic diseases that are debilitating and often life-threatening.
