[Remote] Manager of Direct Mail Production

The Direct Mail Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of direct mail campaigns, including vendor management, project management, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and USPS regulations.ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of direct mail campaigns; day-to-day vendor relations and coordination, including estimating, sourcing programs, cost/profit review, coordination of all scheduled deliverables with vendors and monitoring inventory levels as neededEnsure all deliverables meet company and client quality standards and comply with United States Postal Service (USPS) regulationsManage direct mail programs by adhering to project schedules, auditing data processing steps performed at the vendor level, follow project data process/workflow specifications, QC vendor production and materialsEnsure the printer properly maintains all production equipment to prevent any disruptionsRequest postage funding, reconcile postage usage and reporting on campaignsMonitor inventory levels and initiate recorders as needed to avoid shortages or overagesTrack the status of direct mail campaigns and provide timely activity reportsKeep the client status document current and attend weekly status calls per the client requirementsProvide accounting staff with information as needed to support client invoices, vendor invoice review, postage refunds and tasks needed to expediate the client billing processParticipate and assist as needed on RFP’s, production audits for new business and project reporting as needed by mgmtStay up to date on industry’s best practices, innovations, and evolving standardsPerform other related duties as assigned by managementSkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills; able to represent the company professionally with internal and external contactsProficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based applicationsIn-depth knowledge of USPS regulations and compliance requirementsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAssociate degree or equivalent required5+ years' experience in direct mail production is requiredCompany OverviewData Axle helps clients create a foundation of clean data, find leads, develop winning strategies, and design & execute winning campaigns.
