[Remote] Manager, Material Pricing

The Manager, Material Pricing is responsible for leading the strategic pricing lifecycle for complex global accounts, focusing on material costs, pricing rollouts, and quote validation.ResponsibilitiesMatrix manage cross-functional teams (Sourcing, Engineering, Commodity Management) to expedite high-quality quotes and ensure adherence to tight deadlinesCritically analyze and challenge internal cost inputs. Ensure all quotes are validated against market benchmarks before customer presentationLead the pricing strategy for NPI projects, ensuring seamless transition from initial bid to Mass ProductionEstablish and oversee consistent tracking methods to maintain price baselines over long cycles (months/years). Maintain rigorous justification logs for all pricing fluctuations between bid stages and MPLeverage expert knowledge of the commodity market to predict impacts on Bill of Materials (BOM) and advise leadership on risk mitigationDirect the setup and analysis of complex, multi-level BOMs, ensuring accuracy in high-volume data environmentsManage the generation and tracking of Recovery Management Systems (RMS) to ensure cost recoveries are captured and reported accuratelyAct as the lead point of contact for both external customer procurement leads and internal executive teamsMaintain flexibility to lead and attend critical sync meetings across Asia and US timezones to ensure global alignmentSkills8+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Pricing, or Program Management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior advisory capacityDemonstrated track record of managing pricing through the New Product Introduction phaseBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain ManagementDeep understanding of global market conditions, electronic/mechanical component trends, and supply/demand volatilityAbility to manipulate and audit large data sets using MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data visualization)Proven ability to influence and drive results through teams not under direct command (Sourcing, Engineering, etc.)Ability to deconstruct complex BOM structures and identify cost-saving opportunities or errorsHigh-level negotiation and presentation skills; ability to defend pricing strategies to sophisticated external customersExceptional attention to detail with a 'legalistic' approach to tracking baselines and price justificationsMBA or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPM) is a plusBenefitsA comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.Company OverviewCelestica is a manufacturing firm that provides design, hardware platform, and supply chain solutions to a multitude of industries.
