The role involves facilitating requirements gathering, liaising between business units and IT, and ensuring project management practices are followed.ResponsibilitiesAble to facilitate and run a detailed requirements gathering workshop with the appropriate business subject matter experts, leverage Design Thinking or other workshop methodologies, in conjunction with business analysis documentation templatesBuild close relationships with the functional areas the role is responsible for to understand what IT capabilities they need to innovate, grow, improve efficiencies, or address compliance requirements. Facilitate and function as a liaison between business units and IT’s development team to design and implement new solutions to meet business requirementsBe accountable for the completion of key project activities in collaboration with the IT Project Management Office, internal IT teams and vendors. Able to negotiate with teams, and escalate as required, when project roadblocks are encountered, and project management practices are not being followed. Ensure that applicable project management practices are followed throughout project lifecyclesResearch current technology and its function within the enterprise and apply specialized technical knowledge to improve business processes. Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systemsConduct feasibility studies and perform cost benefit analysis to determine viable solutions for process improvement needs. Analyze and evaluate present and proposed business procedures or problems to define needs for improved processes/systems; prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams improved processesQualify and help prioritize requirements when there might be constraints around the availability of IT execution resources or budget to enable the process changeParticipate on hardware and software evaluations related to a proposed solution for the process change and prepare readouts to the business team around the proposed solutionStay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customersSkills10+ years' related experience is appropriate for a managerial role that includes project management and strategic partnershipBachelor's Degree.
