[Remote] Manager - General Accounting / Project

They are seeking a Manager of General Accounting to oversee general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and compliance while leading a team and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and audit supportPrepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and financial analyses for senior management decision-makingMaintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial recordsCollaborate cross-functionally to support revenue and expense accruals, analyze financial statement fluctuations, and explain budget variancesOversee complex technical accounting processes, including areas such as revenue recognition and inventory costingEstablish operational objectives and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processesLead, develop, and mentor a team of accounting professionals by providing coaching, guidance, and support to drive performance and professional growthCoordinate and support external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to audit inquiriesMaintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and general accounting proceduresDrive process improvements, automation initiatives, and the use of data analytics tools to improve efficiency, strengthen internal controls, identify trends and variances, and enhance forecasting accuracyPartner with finance and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational improvements and scalable accounting processesMake complex accounting decisions in collaboration with the Controller and finance leadershipSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferredPrior public accounting experience preferred.
