[Remote] Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Avalara is looking for a FP&A Manager to support their Sales organization. The FP&A Manager will partner with Sales Leadership teams to drive strategic planning and deliver business insights for growth through Go-To-Market investments.ResponsibilitiesManage, develop and grow a team of strategic finance professionals to help drive growth efficiently and effectively through our sales motionTrack, forecast, and provide visibility into Sales Commission spendStrategically manage ongoing financial analysis on pipeline and funnel metrics and a robust investment model to support hyper growthPartner with Revenue Operations to evaluate and deliver guidance on Sales capacity and productivityLead forecasting and budgeting, partnering with department leaders on monthly, quarterly, and annual analysisPrepare and analyze management presentations, including monthly reporting, BOD, QBR, and Finance ReviewPartner with the Accounting Team to support the month-end close processProvide financial expertise to help support headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planningDevelop and implement efficient financial processes that support our rapidly growing businessSkills5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably at either a high-tech or enterprise software company with deep knowledge and experience in Go-To-Market strategyProven business partnership experience with C-suite executives and the demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership to various functionsDeep experience with various financial applications, including ERP, CRM, and financial planning applications (Salesforce, Netsuite, Adaptive, Excel, etc.)Familiarity with Enterprise Software (SaaS preferred) metrics, having experience defining and measuring robust marketing investment modelsExperience working in a startup environment, with an ability to balance strategic initiatives and operational executionBachelor's Degree in Finance or related disciplineExperience using AI and AI-related technologiesBenefitsThis role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.Paid time offPaid parental leaveMany Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses.Private medical, life, and disability insurance.Avalara strongly supports diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is committed to integrating them into our business practices and our organizational culture.We also have a total of 8 employee-run resource groups, each with senior leadership and exec sponsorship.Company OverviewAvalara is a cloud-based platform that provides tax compliance software and automated solutions.
