The Manager, Electrical Engineering & Design will oversee project design activities, ensuring cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions for data center facilities.ResponsibilitiesOversee the preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third party design consultantsEnsure that project designs are completed on schedule and within budgetSupply engineering expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within the company’s existing facilitiesDevelop and maintain equipment specifications for owner furnished and contractor installed (OFCI) equipment and systemsSupport the procurement of owner furnished and contractor installed equipment and systems through vendor submittal reviews, approvals and factory witness testingMaintain and update the legacy basis of design documentsAssist in development of new basis of designs for emerging business needsIdentify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to maximize energy and cost efficiency of the company’s data centersCommunicate and implement engineering and design policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operationsMaintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and design trends related to the organizations industryPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in electrical engineeringMinimum of 5 years' experience in the design of data centers and specification of electrical equipment for mission critical facilitiesExpertise in diesel engine standby generators, uninterruptable power supplies and a full understanding of how to design a concurrently maintainable facility are a mustEngineering in Training (EIT) certification desired with progress towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensureProficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPointBaseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe AcrobatBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceA 401K programFlexible spending accountsA cell phone subsidyPeer-to-peer recognition and rewards programsEvents, game nights, happy hours, and barbecuesCompany OverviewSTACK Infrastructure provides digital infrastructure solutions, focusing on data centers, colocation, and build-to-suit projects.
