The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee is seeking a Manager of Data Architecture & Engineering to lead the architecture roadmap and delivery of the organization’s enterprise data infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the design and development of technical solutions that ensure data reliability, accessibility, and actionability, while collaborating cross-functionally to align with strategic priorities.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap for enterprise data architecture and engineeringLead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, integrations, and servicesOversee the development and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse and related backend systemsSupport the evolution of enterprise data capabilities through modern data engineering practicesMonitor emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuously evolve architecture practicesContribute to and align with the organization’s broader technology vision, working closely with enterprise leaders to ensure teams efforts support long-term transformation goalsLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for data integration, data engineering, and data infrastructureOversee team planning, workload distribution, goal setting, and performance evaluationFoster a collaborative team culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvementHire, manage, and develop team members, ensuring technical proficiency, efficient performance, and collaborative engagement, while providing coaching, mentorship, and career growth opportunitiesAlign team activities with enterprise goals and digital technology strategiesLead the deployment, change control, and operational maintenance of data systems integrations, and APIsOptimize data infrastructure for scalability, performance, cost efficiency, and securityEnsure data quality, reliability, and consistency across integrated systems and platformsServe as the owner of enterprise technology contracts, overseeing vendor relationships, renewals, compliance, and alignment with organizational needs and budgetMake strategic buy-versus-build recommendations and lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and SLA enforcement, while cultivating new partnerships, optimizing existing contracts, managing maintenance renewals, and ensuring efficient use of the USOPC’s resourcesManage architecture and data strategy execution, including budget planning, resource allocation, and operational processesDrive continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes, reduce turnaround times, and deliver high-quality service to internal partnersCreate and monitor service level agreements and key performance indicators or metricsEnsure adherence to organizational design and engineering standards, meet user requirements in product delivery, and address business needs by designing and implementing effective solutions, while maintaining best practices and standard processes across the teamLead the organization’s data governance strategy, including frameworks for data ownership, standards, quality, and stewardship in partnership with business and technical stakeholdersCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational needsDrive communication and alignment across departments for system requirements, priorities, and implementation plansSupport organizational change management related to new data systems, tools, and practicesRepresent the team in enterprise-wide planning for data platforms, tools, and reporting infrastructurePerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experienceMaster's degree a plus7-10 years of IT experience with increased responsibility of IT roles2-5 years of project leadership/management experience;
