[Remote] Manager, Business Development

GBTA, the Global Business Travel Association, is seeking a Manager of Business Development to drive new accounts for corporate sponsorships and digital media. This role focuses on building relationships, managing sales pipelines, and supporting fundraising initiatives to enhance GBTA's revenue streams.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and secure new sponsors and digital media partners aligned with GBTA’s key initiatives (events, research, education, media)Manage a full sales cycle in Salesforce, build pipeline, and develop compelling proposals for new and renewed partnerships through global events, convention research, and media sales – focus on maximizing revenue from deployed accounts, prospect for new suppliers within the industry and other verticalsCultivate senior-level client relationships and manage ongoing sponsor accounts and contracts throughout the yearAssist with major donor and sponsor prospecting for GBTA Foundation People & Planet initiativesSupports fundraising activities for GBTA Foundation including WINiT, Sustainability, Ladders, and other foundation led initiativesOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of progressive sales and relationship management experienceProven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals, with proficiency in proposal building and Salesforce or similar CRM toolsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with a positive, team-oriented approach and accountability for resultsHighly detail-oriented and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and goals, and effectively support business objectivesExperience working in an industry membership-based organization or associationTravel industry knowledge preferredMulti-lingual a plusCompany OverviewThe Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) is the world’s premier business travel and meetings organization headquartered in the Washington, D.C.
