The Manager, Accounting will lead a team to ensure financial integrity and support decision-making through accurate financial reporting and insights.ResponsibilitiesDrive the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned business units, enabling leaders to make informed, data-driven decisionsLead and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementEnsure the integrity of general ledger activities, including oversight of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processesManage and execute the monthly close cycle, ensuring accurate and timely production of financial statements and supporting schedulesReview balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improved financial performancePartner with business unit stakeholders as a trusted advisor, serving as the primary point of contact for financial reporting and analysisDrive process improvements by evaluating current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices across accounting operationsOversee balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controlsSupport financial reporting cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual), ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracyManage operational setup activities for new business units, including banking, tax registrations, and system configurationsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processesDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, develop, and motivate a teamAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systemsExperience in healthcare, pharmacy, or a regulated industry environmentExperience with SAGE or comparable accounting systemsAdvanced understanding of accounting principles, practices, and automated financial systemsProven ability to drive process improvements and implement best practicesCompany OverviewOpening or optimizing an in-house specialty pharmacy requires unique capabilities to navigate the complexities of high-cost, high-touch medications.
