[Remote] Management Consultant (Healthcare Strategy & Transformation) – Contract

Simatree is seeking a Management Consultant with expertise in healthcare strategy and transformation to support a strategic initiative for a leading healthcare organization. The role involves assessing and modernizing enterprise data capabilities and governance structures while developing a practical roadmap for execution.ResponsibilitiesAssess current-state data assets, platforms, and organizational capabilities across the enterpriseIdentify and prioritize opportunities to simplify, rationalize, and modernize core data assets and environmentsEvaluate local and line-of-business-specific capabilities and develop recommendations regarding retention, consolidation, or enhancementAnalyze domain-specific operating models, governance structures, and decision-making processes to identify improvement opportunitiesConduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to support strategic recommendationsDevelop directional value sizing and cost-benefit assessments to inform investment planning and prioritizationSynthesize findings into executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendationsCreate a high-level 12-month transformation roadmap, including initiative sequencing, key dependencies, resource considerations, and anticipated business outcomesSupport stakeholder alignment and help ensure recommendations align with broader enterprise strategyContribute to the development of materials supporting future business case development, funding decisions, and implementation planningSkills3–6 years of management consulting experiencePrevious experience at McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, or Boston Consulting Group (BCG) or Tier 2 consulting firmExperience supporting strategy, transformation, operating model, organizational design, or data-related initiativesExperience serving healthcare clients, including providers, payers, health systems, life sciences organizations, or healthcare services companiesStrong problem-solving, analytical, and structured-thinking capabilitiesAdvanced PowerPoint and Excel skillsExperience developing executive-level presentations and recommendationsAbility to independently manage workstreams while collaborating effectively within a broader team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience supporting enterprise data strategy, data governance, analytics transformation, or technology-enabled transformation initiativesFamiliarity with healthcare data environments, clinical operations, population health, revenue cycle, payer operations, or healthcare analyticsExperience conducting value sizing, business case development, or investment prioritization analysesExposure to operating model design and governance frameworksBenefitsContract EngagementRemote with occasional stakeholder meetings as requiredDuration: Approximately 12–16 weeks (subject to project needs)Start Date: JuneHours: Full-time preferredCompany OverviewSimatree is an advisory practice that blends a unique mix of technical prowess with people-focused service to achieve data-driven change.
