They are seeking a Major Accounts Manager to identify and engage with new customers, particularly in the Public Sector, to promote their data science technologies and ensure customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesUtilizing expert outreach skills and background to reach out to net-new Public Sector (federal, state, local) customers both in the US and abroadEducating the market about the value of Posit's professional products and then selling our softwareForecasting sales activity and revenue achievement while creating satisfied and referenceable customersMapping and building territories from the ground upUtilizing the existing customer base from Posit conference attendees, inbound leads, and those who download our open-source productUsing tools like Salesforce as a single source of truthRoutinely meeting or exceeding 100% of sales targetsKeeping up with industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needsCollaborating with our marketing, product, customer success, and support teams to creatively grow our portfolio of customersBeing a part of a tight-knit sales team that values best practices sharing, mentoring, and learning while collaborating well with other peopleSkillsSignificant B2B Software Sales experienceA track record of success selling to governmental entitiesExperience with government RFQ / RFP processes, acquisition regulations, and contract mechanismsExperience working with resellers, VARs, and channel partners focused on government marketsExperience in long, complex sales cycles in large agencies/organizations that involve multiple stakeholdersPracticing sales with the utmost integrity while remaining humble and self-motivatedThriving in a dynamic environment that often has ambiguities and competing prioritiesAvailability to travel as neededBenefits100% of medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums are covered for employees and their families!
