[Remote] Mainframe Project Manager - Mainframe Migration

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Net2Source (N2S) is seeking an experienced Mainframe Manager to lead and oversee complex mainframe software migration projects. The role requires exceptional leadership skills to inspire teams and ensure successful execution and seamless integration with business processes.ResponsibilitiesProvide project management of software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platformConsult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resourcesAnalyze the need for and provide the necessary project management for project planning, execution (including the development of project plans)Report on project activities, changes in scope, challenges and requirements to the leadership team as a strategic tool in keeping implementers and decision makers moving toward consistent, business or mission-focused goals and objectivesCommunicate with management internally and with the customer on ongoing status, milestones, and project risksReview and analyze processes & procedures to find opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency, then help drive implementation of these improvementsMonitor, assess, and improve the effectiveness of program best practices, ensuring continual process and quality improvement with a primary focus on the client accountThis is a remote job opportunity which will require some travel to client sites across North AmericaSkillsAt least five years of technical project management experiencePMP or PRINCE2 certificationDemonstrated knowledge of operations and project management skillsDemonstrated excellent written and communication skillsExperience managing cross-functional technical teams, with overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk managementStrong negotiation skills with the ability to organize competing priorities and adapt to changeIBM Z Mainframe experienceExperience with IBM Z software products with ISV Product replacement with IBM productsExperience doing application development on IBM Z, including programming languages like Cobol or PL/1 is a plusCompany OverviewNet2Source (N2S) is a Minority owned global workforce solutions company recognized by SIA as the largest and fastest-growing Total Talent Solutions provider with a presence in 34 countries and in-house Glo-Cal (global and local) teams to support our clients.
