Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a remote Program Cost Control Analyst to support their All Domain Operations business line. The role involves managing costs and schedules for a portfolio of programs, performing financial analyses, and supporting program management with budgeting and reporting.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control costs and schedules on contractsPerform analyses and prepares reportsPrepare budgets for contract work and performs financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysisPrepare program plans to ensure program requirements are captured in plans and forecastsPerform financial risk assessments to identify/mitigate cost risksEnsure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing the preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the governmentIncorporates contractual changes into documents and control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract costs and schedule baselinesDevelop annual program budgets in coordination with Program ManagementImplement financial policies, develop and manage cost/schedule baseline data analysisSupport of customer reporting requirementsDevelop estimates-to-completion, estimates-at-completion, and burn rate analysesAnalyze profitability for contracts and prepare profit models, track project fundingParticipate in the planning, tracking, and reporting of projects of varying contract types, sizes, complexity, and levels of risk: Cost Plus, T&M, and FFPResponsible for numerous financial reports detailing the monthly progress of the project(s)Work independently and contribute to an integrated team through statistical reporting, analysis, and estimatesPresent written and verbal reports of financial analysis to managementInterface with the program manager, senior management, company contract employees, and other functional areas including prime contract customers, finance, accounts receivable, procurement, and subcontracts managementSkills3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience3+ years of project control experienceStrong QA/QC skillsPrior experience supporting a DoD or military customer and/or contractExperience providing written and verbal reports to management related to financial analysis of each contract, directorate, and divisionEffective communicator/team player working with program managers, proposal writers, and contract/pricing administrators to craft a total package of financial portions for new work effort solicitationsProficient in Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel (Advanced usage of Excel 2007 preferred), Word, Project, and PowerPointMust be analytical, possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a teamClearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceExperience forecasting financial data for programs and preparing profit modelsAdvanced Excel skillsExperience with CostPoint, Cognos, and OneStream is a plusImplement financial policies, develop and manage cost/schedule baseline data analysis, and report formats in support of customer contractsKnowledge in SOFA, Tax Equalization, PLC Coding, and TravelAAS Contract experienceBenefitsBest-in-class medical, dental and vision plan choicesWellness resourcesEmployee assistance programsSavings Plan Options (401(k))Financial planning toolsLife insuranceEmployee discountsPaid holidays and paid time offTuition reimbursementEarly childhood and post-secondary education scholarshipsBonus/other non-recurrent compensation is occasionally offered for qualified positions, and if applicable to this role will be addressed by the recruiter at the screening phase of applicationCompany OverviewHII’s Mission Technologies division develops integrated solutions that enable today’s connected, all-domain force.
