The Loan Analyst role involves processing loan applications, ensuring a smooth mortgage experience for borrowers, and collaborating with various departments to meet processing and funding targets. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive analysis of loan applications, including the collection of essential borrower documents and the procurement of necessary third-party reports Maintain consistent outreach via phone, email, and text to provide status updates, resolve inquiries, and ensure all required information is gathered within established timeframes Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers throughout the processing and underwriting stages, providing personalized assistance and support Review and evaluate all file components against internal credit policies to ensure applications are fully prepared for a final underwriting decision Meet or exceed daily and monthly quotas while maintaining a rigorous standard of quality and accuracy Identify potential roadblocks or policy misalignment, collaborating with sales and operations teams to determine the most effective path forward Work closely with cross-functional partners to contribute to the achievement of weekly and monthly processing and funding targets Support departmental growth by participating in special projects, such as testing new systems, mentoring new hires, or serving as a "power user" for internal solutions Regularly attend team meetings and provide actionable feedback to help refine internal processes and operational efficiency Skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered 1–2 years of proven success as a Loan Analyst/Processor, or 2–3 years of broader experience within the mortgage lending industry A self-motivated professional with a demonstrated desire for continuous learning and career growth Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Ability to effectively define problems, gather data, establish facts, and derive logical, valid conclusions A forward-thinking approach to leveraging technology to solve business challenges and improve efficiency Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ensuring a high-quality experience for both borrowers and business partners Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback, comfortable asking clarifying questions, and committed to following established processes Proven ability to remain flexible and effective within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Kiavi offers free employee-only coverage for medical, dental, and vision plans.
