Remote Litigation Paralegal (FC)

Better Life Plans is a dynamic and growing company that assists clients with their debt settlement programs through our relationships with attorneys and law firms across the United States. BLP is seeking a motivated and caring Paralegal to draft lawsuit answers related to consumer debt and creditor lawsuits. Individuals should be self-starters while working in a team-oriented environment and have strong attention to detail with a focus on providing the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities:
β€’ Critically analyze and interpret legal documents
β€’ Professionally communicate with a network of Attorneys and courts
β€’ Use company-approved templates to draft lawsuit responses
β€’ Make attorney-requested edits as needed
β€’ Manage caseload via company CRM software
β€’ Update client profiles at multiple data points
β€’ File legal documents across multiple jurisdictions using a variety of filing methods
β€’ Escalate issues to the appropriate resource
β€’ Communicate with various involved parties to ensure accurate and timely resolution
β€’ Oversee submissions to ensure filing within Answer deadlines
β€’ Complete tasks timely
β€’ Learn and adapt to new software and filing system
β€’ Ensure all legal documents, communications, and system updates meet Quality and Productivity Standards
β€’ Ensure assigned cases follow proper procedures
β€’ Prioritize caseload to manage multiple deadlines
β€’ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:
β€’ High School Diploma or GED
β€’ Paralegal certification, similar legal services degree, or 3+ years of paralegal experience
β€’ Experience drafting legal documents
β€’ Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite of applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
β€’ Able to multi-task and focus on several cases at once
β€’ Proficient in working with various software and websites
β€’ Strong attention to detail
β€’ Able to work independently with little direct supervision
β€’ A strong sense of accountability and executing assignments at the highest level
β€’ Communicate both verbally and in written format at an intermediate level
β€’ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Preferred:
β€’ Experience in FDCPA guidelines.
β€’ One year experience filing with courts, e-filing experience a plus.
β€’ One year or more drafting legal responses
β€’ Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
β€’ General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Anticipated start date: 03/23/2026

Full Time; Non-Exempt role

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 9:00am - 5:30pm EST

Pay Cycle: Weekly

Hourly pay rate - $18.00 per hour
