They are seeking a Liferay Product Manager to oversee the product management of their proprietary clinical platform, GuideTree, collaborating with various internal teams and managing the product lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesServes as internal system administrator for the Liferay environments (i.e., development, QA, and production)Handles all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, workflows, and other routine tasksManages Liferay data feeds and other integrationsCompletes regular internal system audits and prepares for upgradesActs as technical lead for all Liferay projectsConducts discovery to gather business requirements for initial and on-going development projects in Liferay, documenting and organizing them into features, stories, and tasksUnderstands and documents current and future state business processesUnderstands business needs and translates them into requirements for use by a cross-functional software development team (currently an external vendor), modifying and updating them as neededWorks with various internal and external teams to understand clinical and operational data needs and ensure solutions alignPrepares and maintains the product roadmap that defines product development in both the short and long termSupport Product Analyst(s) in managing all help desk tickets and support requests for the productAssists in training new back-end users, as needed, in partnership with Product Analyst(s)Provides data about the product to business development teamsSupports Clinical Services in loading and managing content effectivelyFacilitates testing of new Liferay functionality and manage rolloutsOversees production of functional, technical, and system design documentation by external vendor, or produce own if not completed by vendorSupports Product Analyst(s) in providing expert support to end users in managing system and process changesProposes and manages the product budgetManages external vendor and partner relationships for product developmentEnsures solutions follow best practices as well as meet business needsMonitors and evaluates new technologies and features, informing the company on their potential application to the productReports analytics on platform utilization and functionalityPerforms other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required)5+ years of product management or similarly related experience in lieu of degree (acceptable)3+ years of experience working in Information Technology (required)Experience managing digital experience or horizontal portal platform, preferably on Liferay DXP (required)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written, verbal, and oral skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyProficient with Microsoft Office productsAbility to maintain a flexible scheduleComputer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred)Understanding of Liferay DXP platform, including Liferay best practices and functionality (strong plus)Experience using Liferay Analytics (strongly preferred)Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (preferred)JAVA programming experience (preferred)Experience with non-profits (strongly preferred)BenefitsMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug Coverage and Vision401(k)2 week paid vacation (full-time) / 1 week paid vacation (part-time)12 paid sick days per year11 paid holidaysPaid Parental LeaveMileage & Cell Phone Reimbursement (when applicable)Tuition reimbursement and licensure supervisionGrowth & development through continuous trainingClinical and administrative advancement opportunitiesCompany OverviewOne of six senior officers responsible for strategic direction and organizational success of industry leading nonprofit.
