They are seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer to provide code-compliant asset protection and fire life safety mitigation solutions while working on various projects. The role involves designing fire protection systems and collaborating with clients and other professionals using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.ResponsibilitiesProvide code-compliant asset protection and fire life safety mitigation solutionsProvide guidance to co-workers and receive solutions from variance senior design professionalsTake ownership of various projects as the engineer of recordDesign fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, smoke and leak detection, security and intrusion detection systemsProvide calculations; equipment size and quantities; equipment and construction specifications; network diagrams and various construction deliverables in both 2D and 3D platforms for a constructible designSkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering with the ability to attain PE licenseAt least 4 years of AutoCAD design experienceKnowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling CodeKnowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirementsKnowledge and application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials CodeKnowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and manufacturers' equipment, including VESDA systemsDesign experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM and Leak DetectionKnowledge of design and construction specificationsExperience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projectsProfessional Engineering (PE) licenseExperience leading projects and managing resourcesExperience mentoring junior staffDesign Management experienceDesign experience in semiconductor or data centersWorking knowledge of 3D BIM software (Revit)BenefitsMedical/Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort Term/Long Term DisabilityLife Insurance401 (K)Company OverviewProven professionals to propel your business forward!
