[Remote] License Vocational Nurse (LVN) Home Health, LA/Orange County - Part-time, 8am 4:30pm (Internal Candidates Only)

The Home Health Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct patient care in a patient’s place of residence under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring compliance with legal boundaries for nursing practice. Responsibilities • Provides direct patient care in a patient’s place of residence under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse • Provides nursing care within the scope of practice for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice • Demonstrates performance consistent with the PIH Health vision of Patients First • Under the guidance of the registered nurse, performs basic nursing procedures and skilled hospice care for patients certified as having a terminal illness who have elected the Hospice benefit • The LVN also provides supportive care to patients families and/or significant others Skills • Current California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing • A minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in an acute care facility with a medical-surgical background • Current CPR card • Current California driver's license and valid auto insurance • Current California LVN license • Evidence of continuing education • Prior experience in an acute care facility in Medical/Surgical, as appropriate for clinical specialty • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card • Intravenous Certification • Current California license as an LVN. Renewal every two years in good standing • A minimum of one year prior professional nursing experience • Current California LVN license with Vocational Nurse IV Therapy Certification • Prior experience in an acute care facility, urgent care or formal classroom education in Medical/Surgical as appropriate for clinical specialty • Current BLS Certification • Minimum 2 years acute successful clinical experience preferred • Non-violent crisis intervention training annually • Home Health experience preferred • Experience with EMR system preferred • Basic windows and mouse skills preferred • Current ACLS certification Company Overview • PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network.
