[Remote] Legal Counsel - Healthcare/PBM

SS&C Technologies is a leading financial services and healthcare technology company, and they are seeking a Legal Counsel to support their Health Solutions and Pharmacy Solutions businesses. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts while providing legal guidance to internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements supporting SS&C Health’s business lines, including contracts with healthcare providers, payers, third party administrators, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmacy networks, and other industry partnersLead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and strategic partners, covering agreements such as services, SaaS, software licensing, non-disclosure, and data privacy (including BAAs), from both provider and customer perspectivesSupport legal and contractual needs throughout the full sales cycle, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)Provide timely, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-visibility environmentAdvise on commercial, public sector, compliance, and corporate matters while identifying opportunities to improve processes and standardize templatesBuild strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively across the organizationSkillsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar2+ years of experience drafting and negotiating high-volume commercial and transactional contracts, including services, SaaS, and software license agreements involving intellectual property and data privacyWorking knowledge of data privacy and security requirements, including healthcare regulations such as HIPAAMust have experience with healthcare and pharmacy benefits management contractingStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present, advise, and collaborate across stakeholdersExperience with Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medigap, EGWP, SNPs, PACE, CHIP, ACA, and other government sponsored health plan contracting and/or regulations is a plusBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverageA 401(k) plan with company matchPaid time offHolidaysParental leaveProfessional development reimbursement opportunityCompany OverviewSS&C is a leading global provider of mission-critical, cloud-based software and solutions for the financial and healthcare industries.
