Remote Legal Counsel for Commercial Affairs

In this critical role, you will support contract negotiation and management while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. Accountabilities • Serve as the legal point of contact for customer and vendor contracts. • Draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of complex technology agreements. • Advise on contract status and associated legal risks. • Review and negotiate various commercial agreements. • Contribute to the development and revision of standard form agreements. • Participate in contract administration policies and practices. • Support the company's privacy initiatives. • Advise executives on legal and compliance matters. • Provide legal support to internal stakeholders in diverse areas. • Research unique legal issues impacting the organization. • Conduct training on legal topics for personnel. • Manage outside counsel on legal matters as necessary. Requirements • J.D. with excellent academic credentials. • Member in good standing of state bar association. • 4-8 years of commercial transactional legal experience. • Proven expertise in structuring and negotiating complex software licenses. • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. • Strong ability to balance legal risks with business needs. • Excellent judgment and strategic thinking skills. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. • High integrity and strong organizational skills. • Proficiency in prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Experience with global privacy regulations such as CCPA and GDPR. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
