We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates proficient in transcribing depositions and hearings for a remote independent contractor role. The role entails transcribing content from depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings, demanding keen attention to detail, knowledge of legal terminology, and strong grammar skills.
Ā *Responsibilities**
Ā Produce verbatim transcripts by processing audio recordings in adherence to specified style guides.
Ā Manage workload independently while complying with deadlines and client-specific requirements.
Ā Collaborate remotely with a supportive in-office team for guidance, ensuring accuracy and quality in transcriptions.
Ā *Requirements**
Ā Previous experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Ā Exceptional listening skills and outstanding literacy abilities.
Ā Proficiency in typing speed and accuracy.
Ā Ability to process complex audio/text content, including potentially offensive material.
Ā Background check clearance and familiarity with legal terminology.
Ā Candidates studying court reporting will also be considered (excluding Massachusetts and California residents).
