Systems boutique consulting client based in British Columbia is seeking a REMOTE Lead Software Engineer to guide team, take ownership of a major client project encompassing frontend, backend, and serverless systems (Node.JS, AWS Serverless, PostgreSQL). Fully REMOTE - full time permanent role - candidates will be based in BC / AB to align with Pacific time zone for the long term
Salary range from $150,000 - $180,000 + monthly bonus
15 days vacation / annum + benefits
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
ā¢ 10+ years of professional software development experience, including leadership or senior-level roles.
ā¢ Strong expertise in Node.js, and SQL, and PostgreSQL. ā¢ Solid experience with AWS Serverless architectures. ā¢ Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex systems end-to-end. ā¢ Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills. JOB DUTIES:
ā¢ Design, develop, and maintain a suite of Node.js applications interacting with PostgreSQL databases. The SQL is extremely complex and not to be underestimated. ā¢ Evolve and optimize our data ingestion pipeline into a canonical schema used across multiple products.
ā¢ Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability across all services. ā¢ Lead finalization and deployment of a new AWS Serverless architecture using CDK, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Batch, Step Functions, and related services. ā¢ Collaborate with systems administrators on security, reliability, and deployment best practices. ā¢ Drive continuous improvement and modernization of infrastructure. ā¢ Ensure quarterly data loads are efficient and timely.
