[Remote] Lead Software Engineer

They are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to serve as the technical lead for a scrum team, responsible for engineering decisions, code quality, and mentoring engineers while collaborating on cross-functional technical decisions.ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead for a scrum team – making day-to-day engineering decisions, setting code quality standards, and ensuring high-quality deliveryWrite, review, and contribute to production-quality code across full stack including:C#/.NET (Framework and Core)Angular (15+) with reactive forms, RxJS, and Angular MaterialOracle databases and PL/SQLLead all scrum practices: sprint planning, refinement, daily standups, demons, retrospectivesDirectly manage/mentor 4-6 engineers including performance feedback and development conversationsParticipate in AI-first engineering practices across the team, modeling agentic development workflows and coaching team to integrate AI tooling into daily workflowsCollaborate with QA, Principal Engineers, Solution Architects, and peer-lead engineers on cross-functional technical decisionsSkills8-10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrated lead or mentorship experienceDeep full-stack proficiency in C#, .NET, Angular, and Oracle – able to contribute across entire stackStrong hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)AI-first engineering mindset – hands on experience with agentic development tooling (CoPilit, Devin.AI, or similar)Experience with Oracle database including PL/SQL – packages, procedures, views, and query optimization3+ years of Azure cloud technology experience and Azure DevOps practicesExcellent communicator – able to engage credibly with client stakeholders and translate technical realities to non-technical audiencesDirect people-management experience preferred including performance feedback, career development, and engagement for small engineering teamFamiliarity with .NET modernization patterns, Liquibase schema migration, or observability tooling (Serilog, Datadog)Background in financial services or equity domains preferredCSM or Agile certifications are preferredBenefitsFlex PTOHSA/FSARemote-first workplaceRetirement plans with company matchCompany OverviewCypress HCM is a staffing and recruiting company providing technology and creative recruiting solutions.
