Cognizant is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Lead Generation Specialist for their Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This remote role involves sourcing and qualifying healthcare leads, scheduling demonstrations, and supporting the sales process while providing opportunities for career growth in sales roles.ResponsibilitiesIndependently source and generate new healthcare RCM leads through cold calling, research driven outreach, and multi-channel prospecting (phone, email, LinkedIn, marketing campaigns, etc.)Schedule qualified demonstrations and discovery meetings for sales representatives by engaging decision-makers within provider organizationsConduct outbound prospecting conversations with confidence, professionalism, and persistence, overcoming objections and educating prospects on RCM challenges and solutionsMaintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM system, including lead status, call notes, outcomes, and next steps, to support pipeline visibility and forecastingActively manage a personal lead pipeline to consistently meet or exceed activity, quality, and appointment-setting targetsPartner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align outreach strategies with target specialties, campaigns, and priority accountsBuild foundational knowledge of TriZetto Provider Solutions/Cognizant healthcare RCM workflows to effectively articulate value propositions and qualify opportunitiesParticipate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and call reviews to continuously improve performance and sales readinessSkillsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required2–5 years of experience in appointment setting, outbound prospecting, or cold callingStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally across email, phone, and virtual platformsProven experience conducting outbound calls, including use of predictive dialersAbility to independently research accounts, identify key decision-makers, and develop targeted outreach strategiesSelf-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and manage a high-volume outreach workloadConfident communicator who excels at overcoming initial objections and navigating gatekeepersStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detailProfessional, positive demeanor with a strong customer first mindsetCoachable and eager to learn, with a clear interest in developing a career in salesDemonstrates curiosity about healthcare, RCM workflows, and client business challengesCapable of working remotely in a secure, compliant environmentBachelor's degree preferred (Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field)Healthcare and/or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience strongly preferredProficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred but not required)Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and sales enablement technologyBenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision/Life InsurancePaid holidays plus Paid Time Off401(k) plan and contributionsLong-term/Short-term DisabilityPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Stock Purchase PlanCompany OverviewCognizant is a professional services company that helps clients alter their business, operating, and technology models for the digital era.
