Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Lead E-commerce Merchandiser to spearhead their online product presentation and sales strategies. This role is instrumental in optimizing the customer journey and driving online revenue growth for a leading online retailer. As a Remote Lead E-commerce Merchandiser, you will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all online merchandising activities across various e-commerce platforms. This includes curating product assortments, optimizing product page content, managing promotional campaigns, and analyzing performance data to drive continuous improvement. You will lead a team of merchandisers, providing guidance and fostering a data-driven approach to decision-making. This position requires a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, consumer behavior, SEO principles, and digital marketing strategies. The ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment is essential, utilizing digital tools to connect with team members and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce merchandising strategies aligned with brand objectives and sales targets. Lead the planning and execution of online product assortments, catalog management, and category management. Optimize product detail pages (PDPs) for conversion, including descriptions, imagery, pricing, and cross-selling/up-selling opportunities. Manage and execute online promotional campaigns, including seasonal sales, flash sales, and loyalty programs. Analyze website performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, AOV, bounce rates) and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities. Utilize A/B testing and data analysis to continuously improve the online customer experience and drive sales. Oversee the visual merchandising and presentation of products on the website and mobile app. Collaborate with marketing, design, and IT teams to ensure cohesive online brand representation and seamless user experience. Manage relationships with third-party e-commerce platforms and marketplaces. Mentor and guide junior merchandising team members, fostering a high-performance culture. Stay current with e-commerce trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of driving online sales growth through effective merchandising strategies. Expertise in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Strong understanding of SEO principles, SEM, and digital marketing tactics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for remote team collaboration. Experience leading and motivating remote teams. Proficiency in data analysis and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Creative mindset with a strong sense of visual aesthetics and user experience.
