[Remote] Lead Data Center Network Technician

They are seeking a Lead Data Center Network Technician to manage the hardware fleet's lifecycle, ensuring high system reliability for AI workloads through installation, deployment, and troubleshooting.ResponsibilitiesServe as escalation point for network and cable plant incidentsTroubleshoot, diagnose and resolve physical layer issues including fiber faults, transceiver failures, patch panel problems, and cable plant defectsPerform fiber inspection, cleaning, testing, and light-level validationParticipate in the testing and deployment of automated diagnostic and repair tools. Lead onsite trainings and enforce adoption of tooling systemsExecute structured cabling repairs including re-patching failed runsRun post-repair validation tools to confirm device connectivity, LLDP neighbor relationships, and acceptable optical power levelsSkills2+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter environments with a focus on structured cabling, fiber infrastructure and network hardwareProficiency with fiber troubleshooting tools: Visual Fault Locators (VFL), optical power meters, light sources etcUnderstanding of fiber types, connector standards and acceptable light-level thresholds for datacenter opticsFamiliarity with structured cabling standards and best practices for fault identificationAbility to interpret basic network interface diagnostics - including link status, optical power readings, and LLDP/neighbor informationBenefitsEquityRetirement/pension plan in line with local normsHealth, dental, and vision coverageGenerous PTO policyRelocation assistanceCompany OverviewFutura is a specialist recruitment and build-with talent partner for companies operating across AI, power, utilities, energy, and mission-critical infrastructure.
