The Lead Data Analyst plays a critical role by owning the analytics layer of the Data Platform, ensuring that insights delivered across the organization are accurate, consistent, and actionable while leading a team of Data Analysts.ResponsibilitiesDefine and enforce analytical standards across reporting, dashboards, and data modelsEstablish best practices for metric definition, calculation logic, and data usageEnsure consistency and accuracy across all analytics outputsGovern how data is interpreted and presented across the organizationDesign and maintain enterprise semantic models used across Power BIEnsure models are scalable, reusable, and aligned with business definitionsStandardize key metrics and dimensions across reporting domainsPartner with Data Engineering to align data structures with analytical needsOwn the Power BI environment, including dataset architecture, report quality, and access controlEstablish standards for report design, usability, and performanceManage deployment, versioning, and lifecycle of reports and datasetsEnsure proper data security and access governanceLead and mentor a team of Data AnalystsProvide guidance on analysis, modeling, and reporting best practicesReview work to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with standardsSupport team development and growth in technical and analytical capabilitiesServe as the primary analytics partner to business leaders and program stakeholdersTranslate business questions into analytical frameworks and outputsDeliver clear, actionable insights that support decision-makingCommunicate complex data concepts in a way that is accessible to non-technical audiencesDevelop reporting and dashboards for AI and Digital program performanceTrack adoption, ROI, and impact of platform tools across operating companiesProvide leadership with a clear view of program effectiveness and outcomesSupport executive and board-level reportingWork with the VP of Data and Analytics to define the analytics roadmapPartner with the Lead Data Engineer to ensure data pipelines support analytical needsCollaborate with Data Platform Engineers to ensure new data sources are analytics-readyAlign with product and engineering teams on data definitions and usageSkills7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles2+ years of experience leading or mentoring analystsDeep expertise in Power BI, including advanced DAX, semantic modeling, and report developmentStrong understanding of data modeling principles and dimensional modelingExperience governing enterprise reporting environments and standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate business needs into structured analytical solutionsExcellent data storytelling and communication skillsExperience working with cross-functional teams including data engineering and business stakeholdersExperience building analytics solutions in complex or multi-entity organizationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving business needsFamiliarity with Azure data platforms or modern data stack tools is a plusExperience supporting AI, digital transformation, or product analytics initiatives is a plusExperience in AEC, engineering, or professional services environments is a strong advantageCompany OverviewGreat infrastructure does more than support communities—it shapes how people live, move, and connect every day.
