[Remote] Lead Consultant, Cybersecurity (Remote)

The Lead Consultant will provide experienced cybersecurity support across multiple client engagements, ensuring quality services are delivered on schedule and within budget while executing substantial portions of cybersecurity engagements.ResponsibilitiesExecute cybersecurity project tasks across multiple client opportunities to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budgetSupport project managers with planning, status reporting, issue tracking, and execution of assigned workstreamsReview project plans, schedules, and work authorizations to understand scope and assigned responsibilitiesParticipate in client and internal project meetings and provide technical updates on assigned workConduct research, technical analysis, and data gathering to support project objectivesPrepare written reports, technical documentation, briefings, and presentationsTrack and report hours spent executing projectsSupport quality assurance reviews of project deliverablesSupport engagements involving:RMF implementation and sustainmentA&A package development and maintenanceSecurity control assessment supportVulnerability scanning and remediation trackingCompliance reviews and audit supportSystem hardening, patch management, and configuration reviewTechnical report and presentation developmentCapture and refine cybersecurity operational and security requirements and help ensure those requirements are addressed through implementation of appropriate controlsPrepare and maintain cybersecurity artifacts such as SSPs, SAR inputs, POA&Ms, policies, procedures, inventories, and risk documentationReview system configurations and technical documentation for alignment with applicable requirements and standardsConduct analysis of vulnerability data, scan results, remediation status, and compliance findingsCoordinate with project managers and other technical staff to resolve issues, close action items, and manage deadlinesServe as a technical lead for defined workstreams and provide guidance to less senior team members as neededContribute to proposal efforts, technical responses, and internal capability developmentBuild effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholdersWhile the position is remote, regular travel (50%+) to client sites and project locations is a core part of the roleSkillsMust have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline; equivalent experience may be considered3+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, RMF, system security engineering, information assurance, or related fieldsMust have or be able to get and maintain an Active Security ClearanceWorking experience with NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity requirementsExperience with implementing security controls, documenting compliance, and supporting authorization activitiesExperience with vulnerability assessment, scanning, configuration changes, software and hardware updates, and securing configurationsUnderstanding of network security principles, operating systems, and secure architecture conceptsAbility to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and follow through to closureStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to handle multiple assignments and work effectively in a team-oriented client environmentAbility to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management SystemProfessional certification preferred.
