[Remote] Law Firm Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Law Firm Incubator provides tools, training, and support to lawyers and law firm owners who want to start, grow, and automate their firms. As a Fractional COO, you will work directly with law firm owners to systematize their practices, develop workflows, manage staff, and introduce automation to facilitate sustainable growth. Responsibilities • Systematize Law Firm Operations: Analyze current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement streamlined, scalable processes • Develop SOPs: Create detailed SOPs for recurring tasks to improve consistency and efficiency across the firm • Introduce Automation: Leverage tools and software to automate repetitive tasks such as client intake, billing, follow-ups, and case management • Coach and Train: Guide law firm owners on effective hiring, delegation, team management, and operational oversight to reduce reliance on their direct involvement in day-to-day activities • Evaluate Technology: Recommend and implement software solutions such as case management tools, CRMs, and automated workflows to enhance firm efficiency • Support Growth Goals: Work closely with law firm owners to align operations with their revenue and lifestyle goals Skills • Minimum 2 years experience in full-time in-house roles at law firms in senior operations management or law firm administration • Experience developing written SOPs, detailed guides, and/or policies and procedures for staff and management to use • Experience recruiting and training new staff members • Familiarity setting up and using legal technology and practice management software • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire attorneys transitioning to business owners • Excellent organizational and communication skills Company Overview • We Help Start, Grow & Automate Law Firms.
