[Remote] Junior Machine Learning Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KellyMitchell Group is seeking a Junior Machine Learning Engineer to support AI/ML initiatives for a Financial Services client. The role involves assisting in the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning solutions, while collaborating with various engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into production applications.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design, development, and maintenance of AI/ML platform and MLOps infrastructure, supporting deployment, management, and monitoring of ML models, LLMs, and AI driven servicesCollaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into production applicationsSupport and maintain automated workflows and pipelines for model training, inference, evaluation, retraining, deployment, and monitoring, including prompt based and API driven AI systemsTroubleshoot and help resolve issues across models, data pipelines, inference services, and supporting infrastructureHelp ensure scalability, security, cost controls, and observability across ML and AI workloads, including monitoring for drift, latency, failures, and compliance with data security and privacy requirementsContribute to and maintain process and operational documentation and stay current on trends and best practices in MLOps, LLMOps, and AI platform operationsSupport CI/CD processes and deployment workflows using GitHubBuild and maintain ML workflows within Databricks environmentsUtilize Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI services to support model lifecycle activitiesAssist with document processing and extraction workflows using Azure Document IntelligenceParticipate in troubleshooting, model validation, testing, and optimization activitiesSkills2+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, or AI-focused developmentExperience working within Microsoft Azure environmentsStrong working proficiency in Python, with applied experience using dynamically typed, object oriented programming patternsPractical experience working across multiple programming languages, such as Python alongside JavaScript, TypeScript, or .NET, in production systemsHands on experience supporting AI/ML platforms, including deployment and operation of ML models and LLM based servicesWorking knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, and AIOps practices, including monitoring, retraining workflows, and model/prompt lifecycle managementExperience implementing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ML and AI workloadsFamiliarity with cloud native architectures, storage, compute, and networking fundamentalsExperience with data pipelines, transformations, and performance monitoringUnderstanding of machine learning model development and deployment conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively within Agile teamsAzure AI FoundryAzure Document IntelligenceDatabricksGitHub and CI/CD conceptsExposure to enterprise AI/ML initiativesExposure to Palantir or enterprise analytics platforms is a plusBenefitsMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance PlansEmployee-Owned Profit Sharing (ESOP)401K offeredCompany OverviewKellyMitchell is a HR firm for IT and technical staffing for organizations globally.
