Remote Junior Bookkeeper | WFH Opportunity
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to become an integral part of our finance team in a remote work setting. In this role, you will be crucial in managing the customer billing process, ensuring the precision and timeliness of payments for goods and services, and assisting with monthly financial closing and various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Ā Manage the processing of daily invoices for both Fresh and Frozen Seafood orders.
Ā Efficiently and accurately submit invoices through customer portals.
Ā Reconcile purchase orders (POs) with vendor invoices, confirming the accuracy of goods received and payment amounts, while addressing discrepancies with buyers.
Ā Support sales management by analyzing invoiced gross margin reports.
Ā Oversee the customer credit and billback procedures.
Ā Assist the Bookkeeper in organizing and entering accounts payable invoices as required.
Ā Ensure timely approval of discretionary invoices by department managers.
Ā Maintain comprehensive vendor records and documentation.
Ā Aid in reconciling storage bills prior to processing payments.
Ā Participate in special projects as needed.
Ā Process customer sales orders for billing following the receipt of shipping documents.
Ā Assist with accounting month-end closing activities as needed.
