Remote Java Programmer

JOB TITLE: Remote Java Programmer JOB LOCATION: Remote WAGE RANGE : $52hr to $55hr JOB NUMBER: 26-00777 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: JAVA/J2EE SQL and Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MSQL, PostgreSQL) JOB DESCRIPTION The Maven Development Support Engineer must primarily possess strong problem-solving ability alone and in working with others. They must also possess strong communication skills for effectively working with associates and Clients. The specific technical skills required are: JAVA/J2EE SQL and Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MSQL, PostgreSQL) Javascript and related technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax) XML Also, working knowledge of the following will be helpful: App Servers (e.g. Tomcat, Websphere, AWS, Azure) Development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) Responsibilities Work closely with other Support Developers, Maven Core Developers, Maven Support Analysts, Quality Assurance Testing Engineers. Effectively utilize the Jira issue tracking system for tracking of all support issues, within the defined client-specific Service Level Agreement (SLA). After-hours phone support coverage may be required based on business needs. The Maven Support Analyst's primary responsibilities include providing Production Support Services such as: 1) Issue Ticket Resolution/Fixes 2) Builds for Change Requests 3) Minor Software Release Migrations/Builds 4) Escrow Packaging and Delivery 5) Software Security Scans Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Software Development and 4+ years of experience in Java Software Development or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of enterprise software required, with knowledge of public health industry a plus. Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical problem-solving abilities. Ability to deliver outstanding customer service, including excellent listening and empathy skills. Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and navigating competing priorities. Capacity to remain calm, composed, and articulate when dealing with challenging situations. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams and organizations. Self-motivated high achiever who can learn in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment with limited direct supervision.
