[Remote] IT Manager - Interoperability Engineering

ITR Group is seeking an IT Manager specializing in Interoperability Engineering to lead a team focused on healthcare data integrations and interoperability solutions. The role involves overseeing the design, development, and support of interfaces connecting various healthcare platforms while ensuring reliable data exchange and exceptional customer experience.ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of Interoperability Engineers and Product ManagersManage hiring, performance management, coaching, and career developmentEstablish best practices, standards, and frameworks for interoperability development and supportOversee the full interface development lifecycle, including project planning, prioritization, and deliveryPromote Agile methodologies including sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous improvementLead the design and delivery of healthcare interoperability solutions utilizing HL7 and related integration technologiesPartner with product managers and business stakeholders to define interface requirements and technical solutionsDrive interface modernization initiatives and integration roadmap planningEnsure seamless connectivity across clinical, operational, and financial systemsServe as a key liaison between business teams, customers, and technical resourcesOversee interface monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolutionEnsure compliance with service level agreements and data integrity standardsManage on-call support processes and critical incident responseMaintain system documentation, interface specifications, and operational proceduresSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare IT, or related field7+ years of experience in software development, healthcare IT, or interoperability engineering3+ years of people leadership or engineering management experienceStrong hands-on experience with HL7 integrations (required)Experience designing, implementing, and supporting healthcare data interfacesExperience working with healthcare systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare dataExperience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similarStrong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teamsExperience with Mirth Connect (highly preferred)Experience with SQL and relational databasesExperience leading healthcare integration or interoperability teamsKnowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and interface enginesExperience with software implementations and enterprise integration projectsCompany OverviewITR Group offers enterprise project management, business intelligence, analytics, data warehousing, and app development services.
