[Remote] IT Desktop Support Administrator - Cybersecurity

They are seeking an IT Desktop Support Administrator to support and maintain endpoint systems, primarily focusing on macOS laptops, Windows virtual desktops, and company-managed iPhones, while also engaging in operational efficiency and collaboration across teams.ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for company-issued macOS laptops, Windows virtual desktop environments, and mobile devicesSupport onboarding, offboarding, MFA enrollment, VPN access, and identity management workflowsDiagnose and resolve operating system, hardware, networking, application, and endpoint security issues efficiently and methodicallyAssist with automation, standardization, endpoint compliance, asset tracking, and lifecycle management initiativesWork closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure stable and secure endpoint operationsSkills10+ years of experience in desktop support, endpoint administration, or IT operations rolesExcellent communication and people skillsStrong experience supporting macOS environments and working with JAMF mobile device managementExperience supporting Windows virtual desktop environments and Linux (Alma) virtual machinesExperience managing and supporting company-issued iPhones and Apple mobile device ecosystemsExperience with Microsoft 365 administration, and supporting and troubleshooting issues with MS Office SuiteExperience working with Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access managementKnowledge and experience administering and handling issues related to Windows Server 2022+, Windows 11, AD, DHCP, Certificate Authority, Federated Services, file server share permissionsExperience administering systems running hypervisors especially VMWare, Horizons, VCenterFamiliar with managing and dealing with issues surrounding software licensingExperience writing scripts for automation of routine tasks (Python, Powershell, Bash)Experience remotely troubleshooting issues with bare metal hardwareFamiliarity with Linux systems administration concepts and basic troubleshooting (prefer Alma)Experience supporting remote users in distributed operational environmentsStrong understanding of endpoint security principles including MFA, disk encryption, patch management, VPN technologies, and endpoint detection/response platformsRelevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Apple, or Microsoft certifications are a plusWillingness to support occasional need to be onsite at company office (Bowie MD) a huge plusBenefits100% remote roleWillingness to support occasional need to be onsite at company office (Bowie MD) a huge plusCompany OverviewTrinity Cyber invents technology to solve the most difficult cyber security challenges.
