Remote IT Asset Management Expert

About the position This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a IT Asset Management Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies that optimize the lifecycle management of IT assets. You will be defining the business vision for IT Asset Management, driving alignment across global teams, and collaborating with technology leaders to develop world-class solutions. As the head of the ITAM function, your leadership will inspire a high-performing team and ensure that all IT assets are managed effectively and responsibly throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities • Own the ITAM Product: Take end-to-end ownership of the IT Asset Management product, shaping its vision, strategy, and execution. • Collaborate on the ITAM Roadmap: Partner with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on the ITAM product roadmap. • Design & Implement ITAM Strategy: Execute a comprehensive IT asset management program, including policies and processes. • Lead & Develop a Team: Mentor and grow a team of IT Asset Management professionals. • Maintain Asset Inventory: Ensure accurate tracking of all IT assets and implement monitoring processes. • Drive Compliance: Set and enforce standards for proper licensing and configuration of assets. • Leverage Technology & Analytics: Optimize tools for asset tracking and use analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Promote Best Practices: Develop training materials on ITAM policies. • Continuous Improvement: Conduct audits to identify gaps and drive ongoing improvements. • Be a Key Partner: Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders on IT asset matters. • Stay Ahead: Follow industry trends and best practices to innovate within the ITAM program. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 7+ years of IT asset management experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role. • Deep expertise in ITAM principles: asset lifecycle management, inventory control, and compliance. • Proven ability to implement ITAM policies across diverse teams. • Proficiency with IT asset management tools and systems. • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence stakeholders. Nice-to-haves • Relevant certifications (e.g., CITAM, CSAM, CISA) are a plus.
