[Remote] Internal Audit Operations Specialist

They are seeking an Internal Audit Operations Specialist to conduct operational site audits and enhance internal controls across their global manufacturing footprint, delivering risk management services and promoting operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesIndependently and objectively plan and execute audits in accordance with professional auditing standards and GRO methodologyCollaborate closely with functional management (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Procurement) to understand business priorities and emerging risksLead operational site audits covering the following areas: Procurement and sourcing, Logistics and distribution, Manufacturing and production planning, Engineering and change management, Inventory, materials, and warehouse management, Quality process controlsEvaluate the design and effectiveness of controls related to product quality, on-time delivery, cost control, safety, and regulatory complianceServe as a trusted advisor to site management, delivering recommendations that drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance internal controlsConduct and lead SIOP maturity assessments and special projectsCommunicate results of audit and consulting projects in a clear and concise manner that is aligned with the audienceProvide direct assistance in supporting global SOX auditsComply with internal policies, procedures, and practicesOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations management, or similar3+ years of experience in internal audit, quality, or operations in global manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of manufacturing operations, lean/Six Sigma, and operational KPIsStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working in demanding environmentsStrong critical thinking skillsFamiliarity with global standards such as ISO 9001, CMMI, and EHS frameworks is highly desirableCertifications preferred (CIA, CSCP, etc.)Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., ACL, Power BI, Tableau) a plusOracle financial module familiarity is a plusBig 4 and/or public accounting experience is a plusCompany OverviewVertiv designs, builds and services critical infrastructure that enables vital applications for data centers and industrial facilities.
